Internal Existential Struggle
If my plane crash-lands and I’m in a LOST situation, would I be Jack or Sawyer? Maybe I’d be Kate, maybe.
But for damn sure I’d really WANT to be Desmond, but I know I could never be Desmond and that’s just plain devastating, realizing you’re not who you really want to be.

I’ve been rewatching season two this week and I’m getting on two planes tonight. Seeing the back of the plane’s crash scene does not inspire comfort. And you couldn’t be Desmond unless you were on a sailboat.
