- Diamonds are actually only good for one thing. If you’re really shallow woman (or MAN!) and you want to see what kind of monetary investment a man is willing to make in your relationship, e.g. “how much is he willing to spend to prove that he loves me!?” then yeah, diamonds are great for that.

i think diamonds are awful, and i dont even find them particularly beautiful. though i guess i can swoon for a nice vintage ring every now and again. it seems so strange that the value of something is so randomly determined by aestehtics.
