lovelesswrists: Since I know next to nothing about Brooklyn, I need help.
I need to find an area to live where that’s pretty close to the L train, and can have a studio/1BR for around $1500. I’ve been looking around Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Bed Stuy, but honestly, I have no sense of location at all.

Fuck the L train and all the neighborhoods it stops in. It’s honestly not worth the headache.
R train, for life.

As a 6’6 male, Bushwick is the only place in America I have ever felt unsafe (if that counts for anything). The L train is also vastly unreliable so don’t be afraid for something on the 1/2 and transferring as it might take you even less time.

I think you’re on the right track—I’d concentrate the search around Greenpoint and the Lorimer/Graham L stops. I could check my building (in Eastern Williamsburg on the edge of Bushwick) and see about availabilities.
