Just phoned up and requested my absentee ballot for the state of Florida. where i’ve been registered since 1998 (i’m old!)! Aside from voting against Mitt Romney, there are a whole slew of nefarious ballot measures up for a vote, like allowing public funding to private church groups and banning public funding for abortions. Unbelievably not on the ballot is a clean energy mandate… Here’s the whole list here. If you live in a swing state like Florida, or ANYWHERE, it’ll be important to get out this fall and have your voice heard.Duh. There should also be a law that makes it illegal for you to reblog a political comment on Tumblr unless you’ve actually voted. Just a thought.
